Walk the project
We see the space and settle what move-in ready means to you.
The last step of any build is getting the space ready for people. Construction dust settles everywhere: floors, windows, fixtures and every ledge.
Astra handles post-construction cleanup for new builds, remodels and tenant improvements: debris removal, dust removal from every surface, window and glass cleaning, floor cleaning and a final detail clean.
We work to your opening date so your space is spotless and ready on time.
Step by step
01
We see the space and settle what move-in ready means to you.
02
A rough clean after the heavy work, a final clean once the trades leave and a touch-up before move-in.
03
Dust, debris, fixtures, glass and floors.
04
A space your team or tenants can move straight into.
The rough clean comes after the trades finish their heavy work. Debris and packaging are cleared, floors are swept and the thickest layer of dust is removed. That gives painters, flooring installers and the punch-list crew a cleaner space to finish in.
The final clean happens just before move-in. Every ledge, sill, door frame, cabinet and fixture is wiped, glass is cleaned and floors get their last pass. This is when the fine dust that drifted down after the rough clean finally comes off. A short touch-up right before opening catches anything a returning trade leaves behind.
Tenant improvements are the most common case: an office floor rebuilt for a new company, a medical suite fitted out or a storefront reworked in a retail center. Life-science buildings and converted warehouses bring their own finishes, from polished concrete to wide glass partitions.
Each project ends the same way, with a space that has to be ready for people on a fixed date. We plan the cleaning passes backward from that date so the final clean lands right before the keys change hands.
The more we know about the project, the better the plan. Tell us the move-in date, the floor types going in, how much glass is in the space and whether other trades will still be on site during the final clean. Before the crew arrives, we send a certificate of insurance so your general contractor or property manager can add us to the site file. After handover, recurring janitorial service can start right away, and new hard floors stay protected with floor care from day one.
Post-construction cleaning is a one-time job priced per square foot. Using 2026 published figures for construction cleanup, most full rough, final and touch-up cleans across our service area land between $0.28 and $0.70 a square foot. Light remodels with little dust in northern Nevada can come in near $0.20, and Bay Area new builds with heavy debris, lots of glass and tight deadlines can reach $1.00.
Say you’re opening an 8,000-square-foot tenant improvement in a downtown Reno office building. All three phases at $0.45 a square foot come to $3,600. A small suite refresh that needs only a final clean costs far less, while a ground-up retail building with storefront glass and high ceilings costs more per foot.
Dust load drives most of the cost: drywall sanding and concrete cutting leave a fine layer on every ledge, vent and fixture. The amount of window and storefront glass, high ledges and open ceilings, debris that needs clearing and the number of cleaning phases you need all add time. A firm opening date or inspection with little lead time means a larger crew working faster, which raises the price. Floors that need scrubbing or a first finish coat are priced alongside.
